Document Imaging Services
Docutex's document imaging experience covers a broad range of document types including difficult material such as tissue paper or onion skin paper, color documents, fragile archival material, bound books (bindings left intact), architectural and schematic drawings, and standard business documents. We scan items as small as credit card receipts or as large as engineering blueprints.
We also convert a variety of photographic media to digital image, including microfilm, microfiche, slides, negatives, and printed photos.
Docutex delivers digitized images with file names or index data which can be used to identify and locate documents easily. This information can be collected automatically through barcodes, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), forms processing and Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR). ICR recognizes handprint, while OCR recognizes printed fonts. When automatic methods can't be applied, we manually key and then key-verify information to assure the highest accuracy. We can also pull information from a client's database for an additional level of verification.
Output can be created in a wide variety of formats, most popular are PDF, TIFF, and JPEG. Other formats such as BMP, GIF, PNG, XML, spreadsheets, text, and custom formats can be produced to meet our clients' needs. We can integrate with almost every specific database requirement for enterprise document management systems. Delivery is available in a wide range of options. In most cases, we deliver on external hard drives, CDs, or DVDs. We also offer secure FTP and direct VPN connections. Other options may be available depending on individual needs.
